Exciting developments are on the horizon for Playas del Coco, Guanacaste with the introduction of a state-of-the-art marina. This ambitious project, a collaboration between the Municipality of Carrillo and the Association for the Development of the Marina del Coco (ASODEMAC), is set to redefine the town’s coastal appeal. Spanning 25 hectares, the marina will accommodate nearly 300 vessels, from 12-meter yachts to luxury 40-meter boats.
Beyond being a docking hub, the marina will include administrative offices, storage spaces, maintenance workshops, a fuel dock, and even an ice factory to support the area’s nautical tourism. For visitors and locals alike, the project promises a lively waterfront experience with commercial spaces and enhanced infrastructure. With the addition of a Port Captaincy and Customs and Immigration offices, Playas del Coco aims to establish itself as the premier port of the North Pacific. With all environmental and engineering approvals secured, construction is set to begin soon, marking a transformative period for this vibrant coastal town.
